This beautiful and original Mercedes was given to it's current owner by her father. When she received the car, there was no time to enjoy or car for it, so it sat idle for a number of years until Midlife Classics was tasked with getting it back on the road.
Her little SL was run through our "Return To Service" program where every system in the car is inspected, serviced and/or repaired to make it roadworthy. Unfortunately, the downtime was not kind to this car's fuel system. This car utilizes an early mechanical fuel injection system. The fuel was old enough to have gelled inside all the principle components of the fuel system. So, after replacing or rebuilding all the fuel system components (tank, electric pump, mechanical pump, injectors, filter, etc.) and performing a full rebuild of the braking system, this little rocketship is back on the road and treating its owner to top-down driving in style.
