This poor TVR has been passed around from one owner to another over an unknown number of years. It apparently lived much - if not most - of its life in southern Texas. Based on the seller's story and what can be found in the available records, it sat outside in one or more residential yards until it was "rescued" by a frequent passerby. That buyer eventually took it with him on a move to North Carolina.
The familiar "it was running when it was parked" story accompanies this neglected wedge. Under the bonnet, all seems to be in order - with maybe a few minor items likely to be required before it will run again (we have the warm-up regulator that is missing in the photos). The convertible top is shredded - not even good enough for a pattern (but we have 2 other wedges for that). The interior looks to be complete (although somewhat disassembled) and the glass is in good shape. The frame (what we've seen of it from above) is rusty and may need to have some tubes replaced.
This car's future is uncertain at this time. However, if it isn't restored, it may provide donor components for our '85 280i Series 1 and maybe it's chassis to our Fiberfab Jamaican II body.
